Accomplishments
The Black History Committee of Orange County, Inc., has donated over $450,000 to local schools, colleges, and universities in Orlando and throughout the State of Florida (Pineloch Elementary, Olympia High School, Valencia College, University of Central Florida, Florida A&M University, Bethune Cookman University, Edward Waters College, Florida Memorial University, and Rollins College). Also, donations have been made to the community on a local, national, and international scale (tutoring programs, water distribution for Haiti, victims of fires, Little Leagues, local churches, The Hurricane Katrina Relief effort, and more).
